My Hopeless Dream...

It had been almost two years since Sam had stood in the doorway to Lana's home. Two years since he had wished her goodbye to go off and fight the devil. Fifteen months since he had sent her his Ipod with a goodbye audio file on it. And apparently when he had come out without a soul, he either had not come back, or he had but had screwed up royally.

Either way, now that he was himself again, he knew he needed to see her. He needed to let her know he was alive and that the devil was gone. To see just how her life had changed after that, and most of all, to just see if she was happy.

Leaving his brother at the motel a few towns over, Sam parked the Impala on the street and walked up to her door, and knocked on it gently. He turned a bit to look around the neighborhood as he waited for her to answer, his hands shoved deep in his pockets.

He just hoped this wasn't a big mistake.

He nodded, but instead put it down because his hands were suddenly becoming slippery.

"I uh... you look nice in that."

Her smirk just got bigger. "You think? Just imagine how nice I'd look out of it."

He lowered his head and blushed. He knew that from the one time he had gone back into the memories behind the wall, that he hadn't been the most... virtuous of persons. But he had his soul now, and Lana's teasing was something he had just missed and forgotten and it felt so nice to be teased.

"I have a good imagination on that..."

She moved closer, their bodies just short of touching, and brushed her fingers against his neck just below the jaw.

"Are you going to limit it to imagination?"

"I... I don't want you to think I came here for that," he said softly, his hand reaching up to run along her cheek. "But I've been wanting to since you opened that door."

A little of the cockiness drained from her face as her eyes fluttered to his hand. "You mean when I held a knife to your throat?" she asked, her voice a bit huskier than before.

"Maybe a little bit after that. Probably around the time I did this."

And he leaned down to kiss her.

Lana moved a hand to the back of his neck and the other through his hair and returned it.

He kissed her a moment longer, then pulled back just enough to breath, their foreheads still touching.

"I missed you so much," he said softly, trying not to let himself tear up.

Sam's tone only made her grip him tighter and squeeze her eyes shut. She'd already cried too many tears lately; she didn't need any more.

"I can stay for a few days," he told her. "Dean's off trying to fix things with Lisa."

"Good," she answered, scratching gently at his head with the one hand. "I think it'll take that long just for me to let go of you."

"Then let's just hope no big, bad monster pops up until you're ready to let me go."

"Just take me to bed, Sam."

"As you wish."

His hands scooped down and he picked her up, kissing her again as he carried her back towards the bedroom.

Lana returned it with a soft hum for a moment or two before her lips leave his and kiss along his jaw and neck.

He manages to keep his eyes open at her kisses, which kept him from running into the door. But he gets them safely into the bedroom and carefully puts her down on the bed, sitting down next to her.

As soon as she was on the bed she strips off the robe, then pushing herself backward and leaning back to rest her elbows on the pillows.

He bites his lip, letting his hand just run along her leg softly.

"You know, it's really been awhile since I've... done this."

She smile as she watches him.

"I'm sure you haven't lost your touch."

[likely_evil]

He chuckles. "Probably not. But I may just take it slow."

"Take as much time as you need."

[likely_evil]

He nods, then leans over to kiss her again, his hands resting on either side of her to keep his balance.

She returns it, slowly shifting her weight off her elbows until she's lying back on the bed.

He shifts more over her, then sits up a bit to remove his shirt as he kicks off his shoes. Smiling down at her, he ran a hand along her cheek, then carefully let it run down the center of her chest, exploring her body and paying full attention to each inch with his eyes and fingertips.
