Sam was waiting at the bar down the street from the hospital Allison was working at. It wasn't late, but because of the time change it was already dark. He stood there under the awning, hands in his pockets and just waited.

Hoping that she showed up. Otherwise he would feel a bit like a fool. And Dean would totally make fun of him when he got back if she didn't show up. In fact, he was pretty sure the Impala would be parked across the street some time in the next hour with his brother watching with binoculars.

And of course, if he decided to have fun, then Dean would come in and find a way to embarrass his little brother.

God he hoped that wasn't going to happen.

The waitress comes back and Sam signs off, giving the girl a GOOD tip (hey, it's not his money, and she'd need it more) before sliding out of the booth.

He then grabbed his bag. "Ice cream or pastries?"

"Definitely ice cream." She smiled at him again, definitely glad that she had decided to go somewhere with him, he was a good guy.

Well, if Dean is having his own ice cream party, why can't i enjoy a bit of my own?

"Just as long as they have hot fudge," he smiled, then offered her his arm as they got outside.
