Sam was waiting at the bar down the street from the hospital Allison was working at. It wasn't late, but because of the time change it was already dark. He stood there under the awning, hands in his pockets and just waited.

Hoping that she showed up. Otherwise he would feel a bit like a fool. And Dean would totally make fun of him when he got back if she didn't show up. In fact, he was pretty sure the Impala would be parked across the street some time in the next hour with his brother watching with binoculars.

And of course, if he decided to have fun, then Dean would come in and find a way to embarrass his little brother.

God he hoped that wasn't going to happen.

She smiled, she knew she was testing him, but she was just used to the naughty comments. But she appreciated him not saying anything.

"Dream date? Well...I don't know...somewhere romantic, a nice resteraunt, all the other cheesy stuff, I like it."

"You're a traditionalist then." Sam grinned. "I can see that."

Sam was the good brother. Dean was the bad brother.

"Yup, and I love it" She smiled back at him.

"So what's yours?"

"Late night picnic in the park. Laying on the blanket and looking for shooting stars."

He gave her a small smile. "I'm a romantic."

She was actually suprised by his answer, but she was glad he said that, it sounded utterly perfect. She sighed with content.

"That sounds romantic."

He shrugged as if it wasn't a big deal. "I like stars."

She smiled, thinking if he would really go for what she was thinking, she hoped he would.

"Sam? I was wondering...instead of a motel or something...would you like to stay at my place? I mean you don't have to...just a suggestion." It wasn't like she had not asked anyone to her apartment before, she just felt that she didn't want to start the wrong way with him.

He blinked. Wow... um... how does he react to that?

"Um... well, if you're sure. I mean, I can just sleep on the couch or something. I don't want to be an inconvenience or anything."

She was worried for a second, but he didn't sound so uninterested?

"Only if you want to, I mean...yeah the couch would be fine..but only if you want."

He's not uninterested. Oh, he's VERY interested. It wasn't often he came across sweet, hot AND intelligent women.

He smiled, then leaned close to keep the words from drifting out into the bar. "Are you offering what I think you're offering?"

And he hoped he wasn't offending her.
