Sam was waiting at the bar down the street from the hospital Allison was working at. It wasn't late, but because of the time change it was already dark. He stood there under the awning, hands in his pockets and just waited.

Hoping that she showed up. Otherwise he would feel a bit like a fool. And Dean would totally make fun of him when he got back if she didn't show up. In fact, he was pretty sure the Impala would be parked across the street some time in the next hour with his brother watching with binoculars.

And of course, if he decided to have fun, then Dean would come in and find a way to embarrass his little brother.

God he hoped that wasn't going to happen.

"You'd be surprised with what you can live with. Okay..my turn. So, how long have you been doing...what you do?" She asked, as vaguely as possible, not wanting to bring up a bad topic or anything like that.

She reached for another chip when he did, she smiled and grabbed one.

"Well, it's a family business, so I kinda got involved when my dad started. I was about 6 months old. Actively, I'd say around six."

"That's quite the family business I assume, having you work already at six years old." She reached for a chip again when he did and they brushed fingers, she smiled and waited to grab a chip. Then took another drink while waiting for him to come up with another question.

She enjoyed learning about Sam, he was cute and very nice.

Sam blushed a bit at the contact, hiding it behind a lick of his lips and them his beer as he tried to think about one.

There were a few he could ask, but he wasn't his brother and he kept them in the back of his head.

"Alright, favorite TV show... if you get time to watch it."

She saw him smile a little bit before he took a drink, she smiled to herself.

There were a few, she liked making fun of the doctor shows, but decided she didn't need to mention that.

"Probably Sex and the City. Yours?"

Sam looked the other way, covering his lip a bit as he mumbled his answer. "Gilmore Girls..."

She had to lean a little bit to hear, but she heard it none-the-less. She smiled, trying hard not to laugh, because that would be mean.

"That's adorable" she said mostly to herself, but secretly hoping that Sam would hear.

Sam blushed a bit, then licked his lips to preserve his dignity. But he heard her.

"You want something to eat?" Change of subject, and something more than chips might be good.

"Yeah, I am kind of hungry." She hadn't eaten since lunch, which was about 8 hours ago, so yeah she was hungry.

"Well, order whatever you want. I'm thinking about getting some of those bar burgers."
