Sam hoped Jo would be cheered up after a hard day of work to find the entire apartment covered in white twinkly lights as he had decorated all day to give a soft glow to their first Christmas together.

She thought about it for a moment, chewing on her lower lip. "Something else is tempting, but dessert."

"Alright."

It was corny, but he was on a budget. The plate came out with two Krispke Kreme donuts that were decorated as snowmen. He had seen them when running in to get coffee while walking Ford and through they were adorable.

"You're like a Christmas elf!" She laughed.

"Just taller and without the tights."

"I don't think your ears are pointy enough either." She picked up one of the donuts and pulled it apart before popping a piece in her mouth.

"So I fail at being an elf. Good to know."

"Oh, stop it. You did great with all of this."

"I'd rather be a good boyfriend anyway." He reached over and used his thumb to remove some icing from the side of her mouth.

She smiled. "You're a great boyfriend."

"Second time better than the first time around, I'm sure."

"I don't know," she mused about it for a second. "The first time around, it was pretty awesome."

"Yeah, it was pretty awesome."

"Although, being able to have sex now makes this a lot better."

Sam blushed hard and licked his lips. "Hey, we were almost there last time. We had the experience of the first time to get there faster this time. That's all."

She loved making him blush. "A second first time might have spoiled things?"

"No... but it was nice waiting until we knew what we were doing." He turned to reach over and run his hand along her cheek. "Most people hate their first time. We didn't have to worry about that."

She took his hand in hers, brushing her thumb over his knuckles. "I wouldn't have regretted being your first."

"I know... but I remember my first... and I kinda sucked at it."

She was not going to laugh at him. He was being honest. "I'm sorry."

He rolled his eyes. "You can laugh, it's ok."

"I'm not going to laugh."

"Well, at least we know I don't suck now," he said softly, leaning down to kiss her gently.

She smiled against his lips. "You don't suck now."

"But I might later if you're good," he teased.
