In Which Sam gets an offer he can't refuse
Dec. 9th, 2009 08:26 pmooc: Dean is
jstliketherifle and Murphy is
lieu_murphy. All others are NPC's from Murphy's mun.
It was a wendiego that had taken the Winchester brothers into Yellowstone. The moment they had met the park ranger, Murphy, something in Sam recognized her as being more. He didn't know how to explain it, but anytime she was around he took a step back and looked away. His brother had no problems, but he just couldn't make himself look her in the eye unless she spoke directly to him. It freaked him out, and Dean had commented on him being scared of a woman more than a few times this trip.
As they wrapped up the case, Sam went to take a walk while Dean spent some time at the bar. He knew they only had two days before the needed to be back at Bobby's, and already he could feel the beast under him clawing to get out. The heightened senses were easy to get used to, and even came in handy on the hunts. But now three months after his first turning and Sam was still scared about being out during that time. They were no closer to getting any control over the wolf than he was in trying to find Madison a way to make it stop back then.
He knew that eventually he was going to hurt someone. Dean and Bobby couldn't hold him forever and if he hurt one of them...
Sam wrapped his arms around himself and looked up at the sky. First quarter. Something inside him wanted to howl and he just growled to himself and kept walking. If he didn't get some kind of control first, he might just make it easier on everyone and bite the bullet... so to speak.
