Dean and Sam - Bedtime Stories
Sammy hugged the stuffed dog in his arms. He was only five, and always got upset on nights that John didn't come home before bedtime. "Daddy's not back yet."
"He probably got hungry and went to get something to eat, Sammy. Go back to bed."
"What if he doesn't come back?" The little boy sucked on his lower lip, the spot where he had lost a tooth showing.
Sighing, Dean moved over in his bed and motioned for Sammy to crawl up in next to him. The younger Winchester did just that, curling up to Dean instantly.
"How about I tell you a story?"
"Tell me the one about the chick and the big bad wolf and how the hunter saved her and got shafted because no one believed him that the wolf was real."
Dean smiled. "Sounds like you already told it."
"Please?" Sammy gave Dean a small pout.
"Ok, ok. Once upon a time there was this chick who was walking to go see her grandma. Grandma had gone a bit senile and built a cabin in the woods, and the chick, well, she wasn't the brightest crayon in the box. And this wolf, he knew a mark when he saw them..."
Sammy smiled, closing his eyes and was fast asleep before Dean even got halfway through the story. Looking down at his little brother, he pulled the blanket up over both of them and kissed Sammy's forehead. "Night Sammy," he whispered, then worked to get back to sleep himself.
Re: Dean and Sam - Bedtime Stories
Sam / Ruby - The Day before You Came
She found him in a motel room, passed out on the floor with a bottle of vodka in his hand. He didn't even hear her come in through the window (as a stick is great for breaking salt lines). She walked the room, wrinkling her nose at the smell of him.
"Well, don't you just look pathetic... Jesus, Sam, think you can play the emo card any further?"
There was her knife, sticking out of his bag. Her hand flexed and she went to grab it, but then she looked back at the floor and the pathetic lump that was sleeping there.
Rolling her eyes, she knelt down and checked his pulse, making sure he was at least still alive. Then she stood up and nudged him with her toe. He groaned, but didn't make to move or wake up.
She looked back at her knife. She could grab it and go, not having to deal with Lilith or anything else that was making her life a living hell. No one would chase her if she had it, and Lilith could just be done with Sam and get all her little wishes granted.
But there was something about the moppy hair and the broken look on Sam's face, even asleep, that made her stop. She leaned her head back and started for the window. "Damnit, Sam. I'm only doing this because I know you can do this and maybe now you'll listen to me. Just be ready because tomorrow, you're going back to boot camp."
She had to plot her strategy. Maybe there was a chance she could stick it to Lilith after all. Sam Winchester was a broken weapon. And sometimes, when fixed those turned out to be the best weapons of all.
Bonus Fic
Ben / Ruby - Mind FuckeryThe knife was at his throat and Ben looked up at Ruby with wide eyes. She scoffed, then pushed off him. "You're worthless, Ben. How the hell am I supposed to train you to replace Sam if you can't even block a simple headlock?"
"Then show me." Ben grabbed Ruby's arm and pulled her over his shoulder, tossing her onto the ground.
"I can't show someone who doesn't want to do this." She got to her feet, then crossed her arms. "You know tricks, Ben. Little things your daddy taught you. This isn't a game anymore, and if you plan on stepping up into the big boy world, you have to act like it."
She came at him again, and Ben ducked out of the way, then cried out as she backhanded him into the snow. He looked up in time to see the knife coming at his face and rolled out of the way, pulling himself to his feet and then his back hit the tree.
He threw his hand up and focused, stopping Ruby in her place. She snorted, then forced a step. "Can't even hold me. You're going to get killed on your first battle."
"That's what your job is, protecting me," Ben stated, trying to hold her still. He winced, holding his head as pain started to grow.
"You think I protect Sam? Sam has more training in his pinkie than you have in your whole body." Another step. "You aren't even worth your Winchester genes - no wonder why you won't take your father's name."
"Shut up," Ben growled, trying to focus more as his fingers splayed wider. He tried to keep his eyes open as they squinted in pain.
"Benjamin Braeden. The boy so worthless, not even Dean would have you. You know he knew in his heart you were his son, but he could see how worthless you were then and that's why he left you and didn't force your stupid selfish mom to tell him."
"SHUT. UP." Ben growled and he waved his hand, tossing Ruby to the side and into the tree where he pinned her. He was growling, his head tilted as he glared at her.
"Oh, I'm so terrified. I think my bunny slippers just..." Ruby stopped talking and a hand went to her throat as she felt herself being pulled out of the body. "Ben... stop..." she tried to tell him as a bit of sulfur slipped out of her mouth.
"Don't you ever talk about my mother like that..." he stated, blood trickling down from his nose.
"Stop Ben, or you're going to hurt yourself past what I can heal." Lindsey watched from his spot on the log with uninterested eyes. Ben growled but let Ruby go.
She collapsed at the foot of the tree, then watched as Ben staggered away to sit on the log next to Lindsey.
"Now that's the boy prince that I've been waiting to see," Ruby smirked. There may be hope yet.

Sam/Lana - Future AU Fic (Warning - Major Character Death)
The Winchesters always expected the apocalypse to happen in Los Angeles. New York City. Chicago. And at Disneyworld (seriously, it can so happen).
They didn't expect it to happen in Smallville.
The moment had built. The Hunters, The Angels, and the Justice League all gathered in a common goal to stop Lilith from opening that final seal. The battle destroyed nearly half the town, the rest of the people hidden in bomb shelters, basements, and in churches.
Lana Winchester was in the church as Sam and Dean had told her it was holy ground and therefore the safest ground to be on. A church was a sanctuary from the forces of evil.
So she stayed there, holding her baby, John, close to her chest. She feared the worst after the explosion has rocked the building.
Then the door opened and people started to stream in. Hunters made their way in, a few supported by members of the JLA. So few returned from the army that had left.
There were tears in her eyes as she started to fear the worst. Neither of the Winchester brothers had come in through the door.
Then the whispers started. They had won. Barely. But the Winchesters had made sacrifices. Talks of death. And then the looks started and Lana ran to the alter where one of the men, an angel she knew, was standing to watch over the flock.
"Please, tell me where my husband is," she begged, one hand cradling the baby as she tugged on Castiel's sleeve with the other. "Where's Sam?"
The angel looked down at her, his face unreadable. Then the doors to the church opened again, and Clark's voice echoed off the walls. "Lana!"
She turned, then saw the larger man slumped against her friend. The people in the church parted as she ran down the aisle and pulled Sam into her arms.
"Sam, Sam sweetie look at me..."
Hazel eyes opened wearily, confused. "Lana..." he groaned, his arms tightening around her. Clark had grabbed John so that the baby wasn't crushed in the moment.
"Shhh, it's ok. I have you. You're safe." She held him tightly, then looked at Clark. "Where's Dean?"
"He stopped her..." Sam stated, and the whole church got so quiet. "Neither of us could do it on our own... but together... he's gone..." He then winced in pain, slipping to the ground.
Lana knelt next to him, and then she realized that he was bleeding bad from his head. "Sam, no, stay with me baby..."
Castiel appeared at Sam's side, touching his face gently before laying his hand over the injury. Sam groaned softly and his head fell back. "Your brother did the job God asked of him, Sam. He is now at peace. And you will not longer have to suffer."
Lana's eyes went to Castiel, not liking those words. But then she felt Sam's heartbeat growing strong against her chest, and soon his eyes opened more. His injuries were healed.
Sam looked at the angel, who's eyes were on the baby in Clark's arms. "Now the world can start to heal." And with that, he was gone.
Lana just looked at Sam, then pulled him close as she cried against his chest. "Don't you ever do that to me again, Winchester." Her sobbing betrayed the threat in her words.
He just held her back, closing his eyes. He couldn't even focus on Dean's death. He had to focus right now on the living, and that included the woman in his arms. "I won't. This was the final battle, Lana. It's done, and now I'm here to stay. I swear."

Lindsey/Felicia - Clearly a bad idea.
Of course, there were small pockets of people, and in the darkness of a palm tree's shade, two lovers were on a hammock.
Doing something that really... wasn't meant to be done in a hammock. But neither of them was going to back down from the challenge.
However, as fate would dictate, they were in the middle of their moment when Lindsey suddenly realized that his foot was caught in the ropes of the hammock, and it was threatening to cut off his circulation. He tried to shift, but the hammock was unsteady and went in the opposite direction.
"Hey, don't be trying to throw me off just yet," Felicia teased, leaning down to kiss him. "I'm just getting started with my ride."
"I'm caught," Lindsey stated. "Need to move."
"Can't you wait, like a half hour? You'll live."
"Felicia, just give me a second." He tried to shift again, and the hammock swung in a way that the girl on top was flung off him and onto the sand below.
"Lindsey!"
"Sorry, Darlin'... I can't see for shit and it's hurting. I told you this was a bad idea..."
Getting up, Felicia went to go try and free him. His foot was wedged in there pretty good, and finally she sighed and looked at him. "There's no way we can get it out without some light."
"Then get something."
Felicia looked at him, then got a smirk on her lips. "Actually, I think I might like you like this."
His eyes narrowed as he glared at her. "What do you mean?"
The demon moved quickly, finding places to trap not only his other foot, but his hands as well. He struggled, then just looked at Felicia as she climbed back into his lap, settling in her place again with a groan. Then she leaned down over him, his hips swaying a bit in time with the hammock.
"I always wanted my own personal hammock, complete with a helpless man in it." She moved just a bit, getting Lindsey to groan. "Not such a bad idea after all now, huh?"
Re: Lindsey/Felicia - Clearly a bad idea.
And I loved this. Thank you!
Sam/Ruby - Believe it or not
Ruby threw the Ipod into the backseat, not really wanting to put up with Sam's music choice at the moment. When you have a bleeding Antichrist in the passenger seat, you don't have a love for the finer works of Joey Scarbury.
Just hold on, Sam, Ruby muttered as the car went peeling into the motel's parking lot. She then parked and ran around to the other side, opening the door. "DEAN!" she shouted. "Get the fuck out here now!"
The motel door was already open when Dean heard the tires and he ran out. Ruby was pushed aside as Dean cursed and grabbed his brother, pulling him out of the way too modern car and into the hotel.
"What were you thinking, talking him into doing this?" Dean shouted at Ruby while he pulled Sam's shirt off. The cuts were not deep but they were bleeding and could get infected.
"He's a big boy, Dean, and you didn't see him out there. He took them all out." Ruby was getting the medical supplies on the bed next to Dean.
"And if you two hadn't snuck out while I was asleep, he wouldn't be laying here right now..."
"Will you two shut up already?" Sam groaned. "I've already got a headache."
"Yeah, well wait until you see what I'm going to do to you after I'm done cleaning you up." Dean glared at his brother.
"Dean..."
"Is this what's happening now, Sam? You going to start a hunt with me, then your slutty demon bitch shows up and you follow her off while leaving me behind?"
Sam looked at Ruby, then Dean. "If that's what keeps you alive... yes."
Dean stood up at that, his jaw set. He ran his hand over his face, then looked at Ruby. "Fine, you clean him up then."
"Where are you going?" Sam asked.
"Why should I tell you? You don't return the favor anymore." Dean grabbed his jacket and keys, then left, slamming the door behind him.
Sam closed his eyes and laid his head back on the pillow as Ruby sat beside him, a glass of water and pills in her hands. She helped him take them gently, then started to clean his wounds out carefully.
"Don't let him get to you," she told him. "You know what you have to do. He'll understand. Eventually."
"And what if he doesn't?" Sam asked her. "If I stop, he dies."
"Don't go there, Sam. The options there aren't fun. He'll understand, I promise." She wiped the cloth across his face, and hoped that he didn't hear the lie in her voice. Because she could see that Dean wouldn't understand, and that sooner or later, they were going to hit a crossroads.
And Ruby was going to have to lead Sam on a different road from where Dean traveled.
Dean & Ben - First Christmas
Sam woke up, a bit hung over from the eggnog. "What? What's wrong Dean?" Are there cops outside? FBI?
"I promised Lisa and Ben we'd be back by now for Christmas Morning. It's the kid's first one with me, and I've got to get there." Dean was already throwing things in the bag, then walked over to the tree. He took one of the air fresheners and stuck it in his pocket. "If we leave now, we can be there by dinner."
*~*
Ben was in the living room, staring out the window. It had started to snow, and it was getting dark and he was just waiting for the headlights of the Impala to come into view.
Lisa sat on the couch and sipped her tea. She was trying to read, but her eyes were locked on her son as he waited patiently. It was getting late, and she really didn't want to disappoint him in saying that Dean wasn't going to make it.
He had called early that morning but that was the last she had heard from him. Lisa hadn't wanted to get Ben's hopes up with inviting Dean to Christmas, but he was Dean's son too, and he couldn't deny him this.
There were still presents under the tree. Ben refused to open any until Dean was there. And now, it was almost six o'clock and...
"Mom, I see them!" Ben's face brightened instantly and he ran for the door. Lisa got up, putting her book down as she followed behind him.
The Impala pulled to a stop in the driveway and Ben waited until the car shut down before taking off out the door. Dean was barely out of the car when he scooped Ben up into his arms, hugging him tight.
"I knew you were gonna make it. I just knew it!"
Sam leaned over the roof of the car, smiling at he watched his brother hug his son. "Of course I'd make it," Dean said. "Wouldn't miss it for the world. In fact, Santa and I even made a deal and he left me some gifts to give you."
"He did?" Ben's eyes were wide as Dean grabbed the Walmart bag and then shut the Impala's door.
"Of course. Santa and I are like best friends. Right Sam?"
Sam rolled his eyes. "Of course. Listen, I'm gonna go find us a place for the night. You guys... do your thing."
"Sam, you can come in," Lisa smiled. "I think Santa left you some things under the tree as well."
"He's a grinch, Lisa. Let him inside, and he'll find a way to shove the tree up the chimney." Dean turned to smirk at his little brother. Then, Dean sent the ultimate weapon at his brother.
Ben left Dean's arms and went to Sam, grabbing his sleeve. "Please Uncle Sam? Mom made dinner and everything and there's a spot for you and I made cookies."
"Ok, ok..." Sam let Ben drag him inside, unable to resist the cute 8 year old.
*~*
After dinner and presents, Dean sat on the couch as he flipped through the book that Lisa had gotten him. Sam had left after dinner to find a place to stay, and Dean opted to stay at Lisa's for the night.
"Dean?"
Turning his head, Dean saw Ben standing at the bottom of the stairs with his hair still wet from his bath. "yeah, kiddo?"
Ben came over, climbing to curl up on top of Dean on the couch. "You like stuff Santa got you?" Dean asked his son, shifting a bit so they can be more comfortable.
"Yup. I got everything that I wanted. And you." Ben smiled.
"So what, I'm a big present now?" Dean laughed.
"Yup. I asked Santa for a Dad last year. He was a bit alte getting me one, but he did. Santa totally rules."
Dean just pulled Ben close and hugged him tight. He didn't have the heart to tell Ben there will be a day in just a few months that he wouldn't come back.
"So, still think there are a few cookies left in the kitchen?" Dean looked at his son with a mischievous smirk.
"But I just brushed my teeth."
"Well, you can brush them again after we eat a few. it's Christmas, after all." Picking Ben up, Dean walked towards the kitchen to have some cookies with his son and just be a good father for once.

Ben: Open Foot, Insert Mouth
Noah was feeding Blake while the twins ate and Anna, Gina, Jen and Roxanne talked about going to the mall for some new clothes. Seth and Ben were outside, working on cutting firewood and stacking it since it was getting cold again and they were running low.
They came in to rebuild the fire as the twins finished their meals, and as they brothers headed to their lair, Ben and Seth went to take a spot at the table.
Anna looked up at Ben who was shirtless from working and smirked. "Now isn't that a sight to take in?" She teased.
Gina looked over the back of her seat and laughed. "Just like his daddy, Anna. In each and every fine way."
Ben made to open him mouth to retort but Noah stood up and pointed at him. "You, out."
"But I didn't say anything!"
"No, but your thinking is loud and clear. Out."
Ben just shook his head, then turned around and walked back into the living room, waiting until Noah and Blake were done before he could go in and have dinner.
Anna walked out a few seconds later, tossing him a biscuit. She then got behind him, loped her arms over his shoulder. "That's what you get for having a dirty mind," she whispered in his ear, then kissed his neck.
"Like you're any better," Ben pointed out, nibbling on the biscuit.
"Yeah, but at least I remember to keep my shields up around the 3 year old." She smiled and leaned in closer. "Though you're free to share those thoughts with me after the kid's in bed."
He smiled at her...
"BEN GET OUT OF THE HOUSE NOW!"
Anna just laughed as Ben closed his eyes. "His range isn't even this far!" Ben shouted back.
"I know, but mine is and I don't want that image in my head ever again."
Anna shook her head and moved away from him. "Bad bad boy..." she teased, heading upstairs. "Don't freeze out there."
Ben just scowled and grabbed his jacket. He could take a nap in his car until it was his dinner time.

Castiel & Sam - Silent Night
Year 2
Sam had never liked Christmas. Dean had often made fun of his Grinch-like attitude, but it was the truth. When you're a kid and grow up learning that the things you don't want to believe exist do, and the ones you want to don't... it's hard to believe in any holiday spirit.
But Sam still somehow managed to make it to Christmas Mass. Why he had gone this year, he still wasn't completely sure. But he did and sat in the back pew as the small children's choir sang in the front.
About halfway through the service, Sam became aware of the person who was sitting beside him. Castiel was watching the children sing, his eyes closed. Sam smiled a bit. "I would think you'd know the songs already."
"The voices of children singing carols is a glimpse of the beauty of heaven," Castiel stated, turning to look at Sam. "How are you, Sam?"
"Tired," Sam answered honestly.
"War will do that to a spirit. And you have been on the battlefield for years now."
"I just wish it would end."
"So you can go home." Castiel looked back at the children. "Sam. You do not need to have the war end to go home. You are free to do it when you want to."
"I know." Sam closed his eyes. "Not yet."
Castiel lowered his head. The children went to their next song.
Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright...
"Even Scrooge discovered the meaning of Christmas when faced with his future," Sam said softly. "He learned to celebrate it with his fellow man and keep the spirit."
"Yes, he did. That story is about how love can overcome greed and darkness if you are willing to love. Those who shut out others will never know until it is too late for them."
Castiel watched Sam as he kept looking at the children. "But there is a better story. The story of a baby born in a stable. A baby who came from poor men and never wanted more than the help his fellows. A man who would come to die for them."
"Doing God's work, even against the law and religion at the time, following a different path than the one laid out for him, and being killed for it even if he knew his cause was greater?" Sam looked at Castiel with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes."
"I don't know what's more disturbing... the fact you're trying to link me to Jesus, or the fact we're having this discussion here of all places."
Castiel leaned over to talk softly in Sam's ear. "You are called the Antichrist because of your demon blood. The definition of that is one who denies or opposes Christ.
"Have you ever wondered why you have such a strong faith when none in your family has taken that path before you? Have you wondered as to why two years now you have followed this path, and have not been struck down by us?
"Why, Sam Winchester, do you pray to God when you walk among the demons and perform acts which are against His will?"
Sam licked his lips and looked down. It was a moment later that Sam realized that the angel was gone, disappearing on the wind with a flutter of wings.
He looked at the children singing in their white robes, little fake wings and halos and suddenly he didn't feel so warm with their innocence. He stood up, grabbing his jacket and scarf before heading out into the cold where Ruby was waiting for him in their motel room.
Sleep in heavenly Peace... Sleep in heavenly peace.

Anna & Sam - You Found Me lyrics
It was November 2nd. Dean and Anna hadn't realized Sam had disappeared until they had finished some one on one brainstorming and went to get him for dinner.
When he didn't answer his phone, they decided to split up. He couldn't have gone far without a car, so they went to check the bars and diners within walking distance.
Anna was the one who found him in a dark corner of a pub, head down with three pints of beer already in him and the fourth in his hand. The food lay untouched.
"Sam?" she asked softly.
"I'm fine go away," he slurred, not lifting his head.
She bit her lip, then slid into the seat next to him and slid an arm across his back. "Sam, come on, you had me and Dean worried."
"Like you even noticed I was gone," he snapped.
Anna rested her cheek against his shoulder. "Of course we noticed. Sam, what's wrong?"
He tensed up, then just shook a moment. "You and Dean have each other. You don't need me around. I just fuck everything up."
"That's not true?"
"Is it?" He sat up quickly, and Anna could see that his eyes were red from crying. "Everyone I care about dies on me, Anna. I don't get to be happy like you two are. Anyone gets close to me, they die."
She closed her eyes a moment, then put a hand on his cheek. "Sam..."
"I just want her back, Anna. I want to go back to that point where I was happy again." He pulled away, then took a long drink from his beer. "And I can never have that. So don't tell me that it's going to be better. Don't give me any of that Hallmark crap because it doesn't work. Not today."
She could see the broken look in his eyes and looked away a moment. "No, Sam. I won't lie to you. It doesn't get better. But that doesn't mean you still can't be happy."
She knew a small bit about Jess from snippets of information Dean gave about why Sam did some things certain ways. And after Uriel had pointed out the anniversary date to him on Friday, he had been pulling away from both her and Dean.
She suspected that hearing them though the walls hadn't helped. Her hands pulled him into her arms, and he resisted at first then just let her do it, his head resting on her shoulder.
And she held him when he couldn't help it but start to cry again, turning his head to bury his eyes in her neck. And he didn't notice when Dean finally found them and joined them at the table.
Finally Sam slowly sat up, rubbing at his eyes. Dean didn't say anything, but ordered food for himself and Anna. Then they started talking about things that didn't really matter in the scheme of the world, trying to drag Sam out of his funk and just smile.
And then when they got back to the hotel, Anna gave him one more hug. "Sleep well, kiddo. We'll work on getting you back to happy in the morning."
"Thanks," he said softly in her ear, then kissed her cheek before heading to his room, where he knew he'd end up staying up most of the night watching the television until his brain just turned off for the night.
Re: Anna & Sam - You Found Me lyrics
Anna & Ben: awkward
"I'm not bouncing in that thing."
Ben and Dean exchanged looks. Then Ben huffed and climbed into the moon bounce with Anna. "Come on, it's really easy. You just have to jump!"
Anna smiled at the eight year old in front of her. "I know, honey, but your friend Dean wants me to play in here for a different reason."
Ben tilted his head as he jumped. "What's that?"
"Well..." she looked at Dean who was sitting back on the chair with a soda and glared at him. "See, Dean is just afraid to play himself while we babysit you, so he has me do it instead."
Ben bounce for a moment. "No, that's not it. he just likes to watch you bounce." A grin broke out on the kid's face and Anna just blinked.
"You sure he's not your kid?" Anna asked Dean.
"Question I ask every time I come to visit." Dean smirked around the edges of his bottle. "Now get to bouncing."

Sam/Nellie: She's So High
He had stopped his little pissy fit at his brother yesterday, but something was still bothering him.
Nellie.
He had enjoyed spending time with her while in Tijuana until it had all gotten fucked up. And Sam knew that it was pretty much his fault at this point. He shouldn't have said some of the things he did.
But she was from another world that he didn't know the first thing about. A world of money and having everything that you wanted and not having to do anything to earn it. It was so against what he had been raised - you fought for what you wanted and held the littlest things you had dear.
But he had been rude, and petty, and so he pulled out his phone and dialed her number. He wasn't surprised when it went into voice mail
"Hey Nellie, it's... it's Sam." He shot a quick glance over at his brother to make sure he was sleeping.
"Listen, I know I said some things that really wasn't like me, or very nice. I'm sorry. I'm just... I guess it's just because I don't really know you that well yet that I didn't understand what you were feeling. And I was going to come and talk to you but then that post went up and I got so angry..."
He sighed. "But I've done nothing but think about it after you've left, and I kinda see a bit clearer now and I was wrong, and I'm sorry. I know it's probably a little too late, but I just wanted you to know that."
"We're just... you and me come from two different worlds, and I don't understand yours at all. So ways that we both live and look at the world have to be different, and I guess stupid little things like this which you don't see as meaning a lot tend to be different to me."
He bit his lip. "So yeah, now I'm rambling into your phone and you probably don't even want to talk to me anymore, but I just wanted to call and let you know that I am sorry about what happened. I really did enjoy our time together, and I wish I had been able to talk to you more and just enjoy the time we had."
He hesitated for a moment. "I hope you are at least having a good holiday. And if you want to talk... you have my numbers. uh... so I hope I'll talk to you later. bye."
He tucked the phone back in his pocket and focused on the road. And he felt a bit better now that he had finally done that. He just hoped that it really wasn't too little too late.
Sam & Bobby: Cat's in the Cradle
And Bobby stood in the doorway as he listened to Sam on the phone with his father. The conversation was short, giving the details they had found out.
"Dad... when are you coming back?" Sam asked after he was done. Then he lowered his head. "Yeah, I understand. Bye."
Bobby waited a moment, then cleared his throat. "Sam, you hungry? I think now that we're done we can afford a bit of a celebration."
"I guess." The boy got up, and Bobby shook his head. The kid was still smaller than everyone, but he knew from the length of Sam's arms that he was going to have a major growth spurt soon.
"You could afford me a bit of fake excitement." bobby grabbed a hat off the rack, running his hand over his clean shaven jaw. "What do you feel like? Your choice."
"Can we get pizza?" Sam asked. "There's that place that has the video games and then the comic book store next door?"
"Just as long as you don't spend all day in the store. Yer Dad left you money for food, not fer comics and video games."
Sam just gave him a pout. "I won't tell if you don't."
Shaking his head, Bobby laughed. "Get in the truck, son. We'll negotiate on the way. Maybe you can even show me that video game you like so much there."
Sam's eyes lit up. "It's Ninja Turtles. It's really cool, and you can play. You'd totally be Donatello, and I can be Michelangelo."
Putting his hand on the back of Sam's head, Bobby opened the door so they could start on their way. Normally, Bobby didn't have patience for kids, but Sam and Dean were different. And Bobby cherished each moment.
Even if he would deny it all later.
Sam/99 - Strong Enough to Be My Man
"Uh huh." White shirt drifted to the ground.
"And this... CONTROL... wants to recruit me? Why?"
Black silk joined it as 99 climbed into Sam's lap. "Because you're one of the most intelligent men in the country with a skill set that is hard to come by." She wiggled a bit, making Sam groan as her fingers weaved through the hair on the back of his head. "And since Dean died, you've been a loose canon and we can help focus you."
Sam's eyes hardened. "Why me?"
"Sam, demons are all over the place, and the government can't not believe in them. We need to find them in our offices and positions. Ways to protect our heads of state from them. And you have that knowledge all in this pretty little head of yours." She leaned forward to whisper in his ear. "You don't have to hide anymore, and we can give you whatever you need to hunt this Lilith out and stop her. And I want to help you."
"Because of Dean."
"No. Because of you." Her legs wrapped around him tighter and Sam leaned his head back. "Dean is gone, and he wouldn't want us to mourn him. He would want us to go on, and if you need revenge..." she bit his earlobe.
"I want her head on that platter too, Sam. You join up with me, and we'll get her. And others. Just you and me, Agent 23. All you have to do is say yes and be my partner, and we'll take Hell on together."
Sam grit his teeth a moment, then looked at her with hooded eyes. "You're driving a hard bargain here, Agent 99."
"My deal isn't the only thing here that's hard, Sam," she teased, kissing his neck. "So what do you say? We have a deal?"
"Yes," he growled, and then he tilted his head, capturing her lips and sealing the deal like she was a crossroads demon and he had just sold his soul. But instead it was his skills, his talents... and with a few movements of his hands and hips, his body as well.

Sam/Jamie: Red
"Well, thank you," Sam said, licking his lips as her had brought a certain piece of her anatomy right in line with his eyes. There was no way he could look away at this point.
"See something interesting?" she teased, looking over at him.
"No, just... your bodice has a beautiful red design woven into it. Really eye catching." His face might be matching the color of the thread.
"Really, I never noticed. I usually can't see that far down when I'm in it. I just see black and white." She stood up, straightening said bodice. "You want a refill on those chips?"
"No, I think I'm good."
She smiled and tapped him on the nose. "Just let me know if you need another refill." Then she walked away, and Sam slumped in his seat, grabbing his beer and taking a long pull from it.
"Something wrong?" Dean asked as he came back, happy to see a full beer waiting for him.
"Nope, not at all. Just getting a bit hot in here, that's all." he loosened his tie, stealing a look at Jamie before looking at his brother so they could keep talking about the case.

Sam/Jamie/Dean: teasing
"Sam, I'm so going to kill you," Dean aimed a finger at his brother as Jamie held his other hand to lead him inside.
"You have your peanut M&M's to leave the trail to follow back?"
Jamie laughed. "Don't worry, Sam. I don't plan on letting Hansel wander too far."
"You too?" Dean looked positively hurt at Jamie's joke.
"Sorry Dean. It's the lederhosen. I'll just have to take it off you."
Sam reached into his pocket for his phone. "Wait, before you do that, one last picture."
Dean glared at his brother and flipped him off as Sam took the picture. "I'm going to get revenge."
"Dream on, Hansel. You kids have fun and I'll see you in the morning."
"Afternoon," Jamie stated. "I like to sleep in late."
"Whatever. Just text me when you're ready and I'll bring you some real clothes." Sam shook his head and got back into the Impala, leaving Hansel and Gretal to their business.

2. Can I give you an episode prompt? Because that would be kind of cool...like missing scenes and all? Hmmm...oh! oh! The Christmas Pagan episode! Because that episode was full of win and having a small child around would totally help with investigations of the Christmas nature!

Sam & Abi - missing scene
"Already closed." The jug of eggnog went into Sam's handcart as they walked around the Exxon On the Go station. "You figure out what you want to get him."
"Uh huh, but I can't buy it."
"Why not?"
"I'm not 18."
Sam blinked, then looked at Abi. She pointed at the magazine rack and Sam just closed his eyes. "Abi, you don't need to get Dean porn for Christmas. In fact, I think you'll end up freaking him out."
"But isn't that the point?" She gave Sam the most innocent smile she had in her arsenal.
"No." He ushered her away from the magazine rack. "Why don't you get something from the car area. He always needs things for the Impala."
"But that's not as fun..."
"Abi." There was the tone, the no nonsense one that always ended her fun. She pouted, but started to look through the automotive supplies. Then she saw the air fresheners. "Hey Sam, can we decorate the tree with these?"
Sam looked over a moment, then narrowed his eyes. "Don't you think the room will start to smell like them after awhile?"
"They smell like pine!" She pulled them down. "See."
"... sure."
She grinned and tossed all that they had into his basket, then grabbed a packet of Bug Off wipes. "He's always complaining he can never get the big ones off."
"I'm sure he'll like it."
"What are you getting me?"
"I'm not telling you." Sam smiled. The lady at the cash register had already taken the stocking full of candy and wrapped it in newspaper for him so the hyper girl wouldn't see it.
"But you'll see what I'm getting you."
"No I won't. You pick it out and give it to the lady and she will wrap it so I can't see."
She grinned. "Ok." And with that she took off to where the hats and scarfs where and picked out the brightest one with the pom pom on the top and ear flaps. The lady at the counter looked at Sam, then her, and then laughed.
"Your brothers must really love you if they'll put up with this?" She rang it up and started to wrap it.
"They wouldn't know what to do without me." Abi looked at her. "Are you doing anything tomorrow?"
The girl blinked. "No, my family's in another state, so I'm pretty much on my own."
"Want to come over for dinner? You and my other brother would like each other alot."
The girl smiled. "I don't know..."
Abi grabbed a pen and a piece of paper and gave her Dean's cell phone number. "This is his number. Give him a call. He can even pick you up. His name's Dean."
Sam came up behind Abi and looked at her. "Abi, what are you doing?"
"Giving the lady a Christmas present. Think we can wrap Dean up in a bow?" Abi just smiled.
