"Come on, Jimmy. You're a puppy. You're supposed to know how to do this!"

Sam sat in the middle of a park, walking over to a frisbee that he had thrown. The little puppy he had found that morning was now sitting with a collar and tags, his leash shoved in Sam's pocket. There was a few toys in a bag by where Sam and Castiel's jacket was. Apparently, the puppy refused to go anywhere without it.

He looked down at the puppy with sad eyes. "Don't you know how to fetch, boy? It's really easy!"

"Take him away?" Dean frowned. "What do you mean, take him away?"

He was still lost on the fact that the puppy used to be an angel.

"To have him fixed."

And not in the boy parts fixing.

"You mean to turn him back into an angel again?"

"Yes."

"Well, Sammy," Dean took a bit of a breath. "He's not supposed to be a puppy."

"I know that."

Wow, hear the resentment.

"But... it's not going to last. It can't. But he's my puppy and I don't want to give him up."

"I know you don't, Sammy. I know. But he's not a puppy. He's an angel. And we have to get him back the way he's supposed to be."

Sam gave a soft whine and looked back at the puppy. "Can we do it tomorrow?"

"I know you want a puppy, Sam, but -- I don't think Cas would appreciate it."

"He likes the pig's ear I bought him. He'll look weird eating it as a human."

"Well, I don't think that he'd be interested in eating a pig's ear as a human, dude."

"... I don't want to."

"Sometimes we have to do things we don't want to do. That's just the way the world works."

"I don't care. He's not going to be a puppy long, but he's my puppy."

Yeah. Sam was not going to be good at sharing.

Dean sighed heavily. "But he's not your puppy, Sam. He's an angel."

"Right now he is my puppy. He was made for me and left for me!" Sam was throwing a tantrum now. "You're being mean, Dean. Why do you always take away the things I want!"

Dean paused taking a heavy brother as he ran a hand over his face. "I'm not trying to hurt your feelings, Sammy. But you can't keep Cas as a puppy. That's not fair to him."

Sam scrunched up his nose, and then he hung up the phone on Dean.

Without a word, he packed up everything he had gotten for Jimmy and picked up the puppy. Then he did something he hardly did anymore.

He used his demon powers to move, and move quickly until he was there in the motel room with his brother. he threw all the dog stuff to the ground and gently put the puppy on the bed, then glared at Dean with black, angry eyes.

"I hate you," he muttered.

And then Sam was gone.
