Bad Day on Black Rock - RP for
ironknifehunter
It started when, as Cas was getting ready to leave for work, he told Sam that Dean was getting released from the hospital that afternoon. There was a question on that, a look at Sam lowered his head from and ignored.
When are you going to go back and see him, Sam?
He could hear their voices in his head as he worked on the house that day. Jo, Cas, even Pam wanting to know when Sam was going to see his brother. Ever since Dean had woken up, Sam avoided the hospital like the plague. All because he was afraid to face him.
The voices started to get to him, and Sam found his way into the medicine cabinet to get something to get rid of his headache. As the hours went, the pain didn't stop and Sam went back to find something stronger.
That evening, then would find Sam stoned off the pills from an old bottle of codeine, passed out on the bathroom floor because it was cool and felt good on his face. But the voices were gone, and his head wasn't hurting anymore. That was all that mattered to him.

"You mom scared the bejesus out of me, but I knew she wouldn't actually kill me. Yell and cause some bruises at best, but she wasn't a murderer."

Things were always complicated when it came to her mom. "Yeah, sounds like Mom."

And he had enjoyed it too. It was his first time getting that far with her - mainly because they got carried away - and it had been nice until they had to stop themselves when they were stumbled upon by a group of kids.

She had liked it too, back then it had all been so simple, so easy. They were just two kids with feelings for each other. She almost wished it was that simple now.

"You were getting something to eat..." he reminded her.

"What?"

He looked away a bit, uncomfortable because he knew what they had, and she was so much better than him now. She didn't need him bringing her down, no matter what he was starting to feel.

Maybe she had been wrong about the whole wanting her to kiss him. She tried hard not to feel disappointed about that. She sat up and looked around, like she'd forgotten about where she was for a moment.

He realized that he was still wearing his sweaty clothes from the day and he went to the bathroom to strip out of them, putting on a pair of sweatpants. Looking in the mirror, he could see those parts of him still boney and sickly and he quickly wrapped the blanket around him.
"Ford?" he called softly, looking for the puppy. Maybe he could sleep with the puppy with him. But he figured that the dog was in Jo's room, and finally he went to her door and knocked.
"Jo? Are you sleeping?"
no subject
"Yeah, yeah, I'm awake," she said, running a hand through her hair. "Something wrong, Sam?"
no subject
"I know this is going to sound childish... but can I sleep in here tonight? I don't want to be alone in the dark..."
Or alone period. But that was another issue.
no subject
"Yeah, sure, come on in. Just watch for Ford, he likes sleeping at the foot."
no subject
Not trying to steal her covers. making sure she had enough room. Just wanting to know there was someone else nearby so he could sleep better.
