Happy Birthday Maddie!

Sam of course would wait until Maddie was at school before he stopped in to check on his brother for a few minutes. He had a few things that he was going to be doing that evening and wanted to make sure that his present was delivered just in case he was forced to miss the birthday party later.

Of course right now he had to deal with Dean making fun of Sam as he carried in the Build a Bear box, and the very pink and girly thing inside. Sam just rolled his eyes and went upstairs.

In her room, he turned the little desk chair around sat the little Rock Star Monkey down in her chair, the box was set off to the side for her to play with later, and then he placed a few daisies on her desk with a little card.

Happy Birthday Maddie! I hope you like your present. I Love You. -Uncle Sam

Smiling to himself, Sam snuck back out, said goodbye to his brother and promised he would do his best to make it for the birthday cake if nothing else, and headed out to his appointment for the afternoon.

The minute she got home from school and made her way to her room, she screamed. A very happy scream, but a loud scream. Then she jumped up and down and ran for the box. She hadn't even seen the bear yet.

When she opened the box she screamed again and grabbed the monkey, hugging it tightly. She grinned and read the card carefully, then ran to call her uncle - with Mommy's help.

"Uncle Sam! Uncle Sam! Thankyouthankyouthankyou!!!"

Sam moved away from his "appointment", pointing at the phone and saying it was very important. Once outside, he opened it to the squealing girl and couldn't help grinning.

"You're welcome, sweetie. I'm glad you like her."
