He had finished his debriefing and came home late at night. He was still a bit sore, hurting in a few places he'd rather forget how those injuries came, but the mission was a success and he even had a new friend out of the deal.

But right now all he wanted to do was just take a shower and then collapse into bed. He got the next day off to recoup, and he was pretty sure he would be sleeping through most of it.

He wasn't very quiet when he got in, tossing his keys on the table by the door and dropping his bag on the floor. He sat on the arm of the couch to pull his shoes off, his tie undone and jacket already hanging in the closet.

When she stopped he opened his eyes, turning a bit to look at her. "You ok?"

"They're going to desk me," she said blandly.

"Well... it'll only be until the baby's born. Then I guess we'll take turns."

He smirked a bit. "Once you start showing, Bruce and Lloyd will make sure you're always comfortable. Coming over to fluffy your pillows and bring you your meals."

She frowned. "But....I'll be so bored." Okay, so her frown was more of a pout.

"You'll probably be exhausted too," he pointed out, then rolled over under her. "And you're going to need all new body suits because you'll have to cover the baby belly. however I'm sure Bruce would love trying to invent you a bulletproof stomach vest."

She made a face and leaned down against him. "Don't even joke about that." She sighed. "The things I do for you.."

"But then you're going to have the fun of buying all new things for the house and clothing and decorating a baby's room." He stretched a bit under her before relaxing and loosely wrapping his arms around her.
