"Dean, pull over man..."

"Oh come on Sammy, it's not that bad."

"I'm not kidding."

Dean looked at his kid brother in the backseat of the Impala. Dean was now 16 and just got his license. Dad had handed him the keys to the Impala, telling him to take Sam out to get something for dinner. On their way back, however, Dean decided he wanted to really take a ride and test out just how the car ran.

Sam had been sitting stretched out in the back, reading while Dean was driving. He had eaten too much, but it wasn't often that they actually want out to eat, so he took advantage of the desert menu. However, after the first hairpin Dean took on the back country roads, Sam was starting to regret it.

"Dean please!" Sam had one arm reached out with his legs to brace himself from shifting and being thrown around in the seat. The other was clinging to the back of the seat for dear life. "If I throw up, you're going to have to tell Dad why I puked in the back seat!"

"You puke in the back seat, you're cleaning it up long before we get back," Dean said, looking over the back of the seats to glare at his brother.

"DEAN!" Sam shouted, looking at the headlights coming straight at them. Dean turned, cursed and skidded them into the grass on the side of the road. The car stopped, and Sam took it as his chance to get out and stretch out on the ground, hugging it for dear life as his stomach settled.

Dean walked around the car, checking for damage before finding his brother in the glow of the lights. He rolled his eyes and gently kicked the 12 year old. "Come on, stop being a little bitch and get back in."

"Nu uh. I'm walking."

"You are NOT walking back, Sammy."

Sam sat up and looked at his brother. "Fine, then I'm driving."

"Like hell you are!"

"Anything's better than you."

Dean just glared at Sam, who stared up at him so seriously, his hands held out for the keys. "How about this? You sit up front in the passenger seat and I'll show you how to drive."

Sam's eyes widened. Dean was going to let him sit up front?! "Promise?"

"Get in before I change my mind."

Sam jumped up, slamming the back door shut before pulling open the front door, climbing in and buckling up before Dean was even able to get in on his side. He laughed at the bright smile on Sam's face as he put the car back into drive, explaining to Sam everything he did as he got back on the road to get them back to the motel where John was waiting.
