It was the afternoon after Sam had spent the day with Nellie, and now he was waiting for Bobby to meet him for lunch.

He had been replying the events of the day before in his head, and he had come to a sad revelation: maybe Nellie was over her mother's death. Maybe she didn't need to talk, like he had felt she had to. Maybe... he was portraying his own issues through her and that's why he had been so adamant for her to talk to him.

He would apologize the next time he saw her. If he saw her. He was leaving that in her hands because he didn't want her to be uncomfortable.

But he might just be brooding while he leaned against the column in the hotel lobby, lost in thought.

Dean was about to say something about how not going back might not be such a bad thing, then he shrugged. "Whatever you wanna do, Sammy. I was just saying that I'm not picky."

"Guess we can just take it as each day goes by."

Sam downed his shot. "Oh, Bobby, I talked to Nellie. She's doing alright."

Bobby's eyes shot up. "Did ya? How's she doin'?"

Dean glanced between Sam and Bobby for a moment, before frowning slightly. "Am I missing something?"

"When isn't that new?" he looked at Dean.

He turned more towards Bobby. "I think because she was young, she has dealt with it. I probably didn't help because I wanted her to talk and brought it back up, but she's actually handling it well."

He nodded slowly and started on his new beer. "Wouldn't know," he shrugged. "But...she was a kid. Doubt she's dealt with it any better than either of you."

Dean paused for a minute, listening to the conversation, before picking up his beer bottle as he spoke again.

"You know, when a person asks if he's missing something? It's usually a clue for the rest of the people in the conversation to tell him what he's missing. Just saying."

Sam just looked at Bobby and nodded his head at him. After all, it was Bobby's story to tell.

Bobby just shrugged. "I know her mother," he said simply. "It was a hunt and she died." He left it all simple. He had to. Simple was easier.

Dean nodded slowly for a minute, before taking another sip of his beer. "Sorry to hear that."

And he meant that sincerely. Especially after what they went through with the Witnesses earlier this ear, it was hard when it came to the people who didn't make it.

"So you happened to run into her kid?"

"Bobby and I were walking through the market, she saw me and came over, and Bobby recognized her." Sam shrugged. "Of all the girls I meet here..."

Bobby sighed. "Start talkin' about fate and I might kick you ass." He looked down at the table, turning his beer bottle slowly, trying to push the image and memories of Libby from his head.

Dean was sitting there, processing that again for a minute, before tilting his head to the side slightly. "The blond?"

Sam held up his hands to feign off the assault. Then he nodded to Dean. "Yes, her name is Nellie."

Bobby nodded and kept quiet, letting the boys discuss.

"Nellie," Dean nodded. "Well, she seemed like a nice girl."

"She is a nice girl. A bit spoiled, but nice."

Bobby snorted in amusement. "So was her Momma. Shoulda seen the way she turned her nose up at the place I put 'em up in. Wanted room service and fine dinin'."

"Well, I'm sure you told her that she can't have it all, in your own special way," Dean smirked.

Sam kicked his brother under the table. Because really.

Bobby looked up with a slightly raised brow, saying nothing.

Dean winced before looking at his brother. "What?"

"Can you not relate your world around porn?"

Bobby's eyes narrowed. "We ain't talkin' bout Nellie and porn in the same conversation, cut it out."

"What was I relating to porn?" Dean frowned. "I was just saying that Bobby was being Bobby."
