The pretty girl in the diner... (for
lil_nellie)
RP for demon!Sam verse
They were in a diner having lunch as they drove through town. Alec and Dean had said there was a job. There was always a job. Something to hunt. Someone to save. Family business.
Alec and Dean had left Sam in the diner to go and get supplies. So he sat there in some new clothes that Dean had got him. Jeans. A shirt that buttoned down. A white shirt under it. lace up boots and new socks and underwear.
Right now he was curled up on his side of the booth. There was a plate of french fries in front of him. And a big pile of ketchup. And a big soda with a straw. His laptop was in his lap and he was researching water wraiths. He was being useful.
His eyes were glued to the computer and every now and then his hand would grab a fry without looking, dip it in the ketchup, and eat it.
Sam helped Dean and Alec like this, and he was going to help a lot. And he wasn't allowed to leave the diner. The Impala was outside, but Sam had to stay right there until Dean and Alec got back.

Cruising down the highway, her tummy began to grumble. She checked the exits, really wishing there was a bigger city nearby with good dining - but there wasn't. She'd have to settle. Which really wasn't so bad. She pulled off the nearest exit and followed the signs for the diner. With a big grin she parked and hopped from the car. She shook out her jeans (too tight for Daddy's liking) and pulled the sleeves of her long pink shirt down over her arms.
As she walked in, she slid her designer sunglasses from her eyes and looked for a booth. Seeing one open behind Sam, she headed that way.

He then reached over to get his soda and sip it in his straw. That was when he saw the pretty girl walk in front of him. She was wearing pink. Pink was a cute color. A girl color.
He then quickly went back to look at his computer. He was supposed to stay there and not talk to anyone except the waitress.

Finally, he just licked his lips. "You keep staring at me," he said, not looking at her. He wasn't really talking to her if he wasn't looking at her.

It was the truth, the words of a child. But coming out of a body of a 27 year old would make it seem like he was being playful.

Oh, that was going to come back and bite him later. But Sam didn't know.

Nellie smiled. "That's nice," she nodded. She was also starting to get the feeling that this guy wasn't just the strong silent type, but...maybe a little slower than most. Didn't matter. He was cute and sweet.

"I'm sorry. I'm not... good... at talking much." He licked his lips. "It..it's been awhile since I... talked to someone that wasn't my brother or Alec." He was trying. And there was something in her eyes that made him want to try.

"So what... why are you here? If I can ask."

"You have an accent. Where are you from?"

"Hi."

"Hi, there," she said lightly. "You two must be Dean and Alec."
