CANON MATES


♣ ☼	ilu_impala Normal Dean and Sam angst abound between these two. When Sam arrived, Dean was from a year behind when Lucifer was first released, and had no idea what Sam has lived through. When Dean “went home” for a week, Sam was devastated that he was never going to see his brother again. Now that Dean is back and knows what happened, Sam just wants to be with him and not lose any minute that Atia lets the two of them have together. Canon Point: 5.22 – Swan Song

♣ ☼	doubtheaven When Castiel was first on the island, Sam was worried about him adjusting because of his sudden loss of powers and being from a time that he didn't know how to deal with it. Then Cas went home and Sam was relieved because Atia isn't a place for a powerless angel. But now Castiel is back again, and from a few hours after Sam had died. He's brought Sam a bit of relief that he didn't realize he needed, as well as knowing that his angel friend would be able to handle this place a bit better than before - even if he doesn't remember his time on the island from last time. Canon Point: 5.22 – Swan Song

☽ ♣ ☼	thehalfbrother When Sam and dean first learned about Adam, Sam instantly became protective of him and wanted to take care of him similar to how Dean always looked after him. Of course that was when they learned that Adam was already dead and they were talking to a Adam-shaped ghoul. A year later, the angels brought Adam back to become a vessel for Michael, and Sam was trying to keep both his brothers from becoming Michael's vessel at the same time! He knows that the angels put ideas into Adam's head about him, and the fact Dad was... well Dad to him, it's hard to get Adam to trust him. But Sam doesn't plan on giving up, not when the island has given him another second chance to take advantage of. Canon Point: 5.18 - Point of No Return

☽ ø	gracereturning Sam isn't sure where he stands with Anna because for all intents and purposes, he's been avoiding her like the plague. It didn't help that the first time he did see her in Atia was while Lucifer was in control. The biggest problem is that the last time Sam did see Anna was when the fallen angel had shoved a rusty pipe into his chest and killed him. You don't forget things like that easily, and since Sam isn't sure what point of time she's from, he's keeping a safe distance. Canon Point: 4.16 - On the Head of a Pin

☼ ♥	likesangrysex He won't lie - he still has dreams about him and Bela. She got under his skin after all. But when she showed up on Atia, he wasn't expecting her to still be able to make him feel a mixture of anger, frustration, and awkwardness that she always managed. When she lets him help her with her collar, he can tell she is uncomfortable with forced sex and instead helped her without even taking off a single piece of his clothing, and making sure she was comfortable the whole time. Hopefully, there is a way to redeem this possible friendship gone wrong - as long as she doesn't try to shoot him or Dean again. Canon Point: 3.15 - Time is on My Side

CO-WORKERS (MAO)


♣	mr_8gauge Sam interviewed with Everett when Inara set up his interview to work in security. While he won't say it aloud, Sam likes knowing that the older man has taken Sam under his wing at Mao and trying to help him come to terms with his situation on the island. He reminds Sam of Bobby a bit, and values the older man's wisdom.

♣	schooledinlies Inara offered Sam an interview over the network, and since then has shown a gentleness and almost motherly concern over her newest employee. While he tends to not see her often since she is on her side of the brothel, he knows that he can always go to her to talk and have some tea when he needs to.

	brbmakinusexy If there was anyone in the world who would be able to compete with his brother in the size of their ego with womanizing, Christian would be Sam's number one pick. Sam thankfully hasn't seen the doctor much professionally, but the man does know how to throw a good party.

☼ ♥	pope_assassin Sylvia first came into Sam's life when she met and had sex with Lucifer in Atia's temple. After that, he tried to avoid her, but she made it clear that they needed to talk. Since then, she has become a friend and someone who is willing to speak frankly to Sam about his problems and help find him paths to solutions. There is a kinship of sorts, and he trusts her.

FRIENDS - The Guys


☽	now_andnow Dani's partner, Sam heard a lot about the man before he actually met him. However, when Sam did meet him, Sam was also drunk off his ass and made a fool of himself. Both of them are realizing that sometimes there are just things that two guys need to talk about and not always hang out with the ladies. Sam felt that Charlie was becoming his BFF for a long time, but after a drunken incident at Angela's, he hasn't talked to the man and Sam feels that it's his fault for losing his friend and has no idea how to fix this.

	notreally_here Jake is another friend of Dean's that Sam has spent some time with, but mainly talks to more on the network. Sam knows the man is a disabled soldier, and they tend to talk a bit more like guys than he does with his mostly girl friend circle. Sam knows he needs to spend more time with the guy, but just never seems to find that time.

	dazedfloyd Randall is the father os Giselle's baby, Laura. Sam was nervous about meeting Randall at first, thinking it was him measuring up Sam as the other man. But they got along pretty well and share a love for hanging out at the bar and playing pool. Sam knows that Giselle and Randall are on the rocks at the moment, and does his best to keep out of their business and just be supportive of them when they come to him for the support.

	onlyknowsno Wow, talk about being caught in a love triangle! Sam met Robert on his first day to help the guy out, not realizing that Robert is actually Giselle's future husband. His appearance also caused the complications in Giselle and Randall's relationship. But Sam thinks Robert is a good guy, and has tried to help him get settled on the island.

	hadtobe_said In the time that Sam has gotten to know Bosco, Sam finds that he likes the older man more and more each time. He knows he's the kid in this growing group of friends, but he doesn't see Bosco as an "old man" and instead more of someone that he can learn some new things from.

FRIENDS - The Girls


♥	cagedsanctuary Sam could tell Alexiel is from a different time and space from the moment they started talking. She tends to gently reprimand Sam when he does something that might hurt Dean, since she is the older sibling in a mirror style relationship. She also is willing to talk with Sam about deeper subjects and even let him show a bit of that darker side he hides from everyone. Sometimes she confuses him, but she's becoming a close confidant when there is no one else he can talk to about things from home.

☼	dreamedofspace She's from the future and has time traveled! Sam met her in the library and has a fellow geek friend on the island who he really likes spending time with and even helped her get a job at Grace's restaurant. He's curious about her and her life, and looks forward to spending a lot of time in the library with her.

♥	art_of_bones Sam accidentally bumped into her at Christian's party and luckily didn't spill anything on her. He thinks she's a very sweet, beautiful woman and is grateful she was able to tolerate his drunken self. When Angela offered to help him with his collar, Sam got one of his greatest lessons so far on the island that he's working to stick with: he doesn't know what each day will bring, so just enjoy the moments as they come. So he does, and he very much enjoyed the moments he's had with Angela so far since then.

♣ ☼ ♥	itisneversimple Her bubbly personality just reached out and grabbed Sam immediately, so it's no surprise that within weeks they decided to date. Buffy's the first person who's been his true "girlfriend" since Jessica. She's a hunter to him - yes, he knows, Slayer, but whatever - and even in this place he hates, she manages to just brighten up the space. After a few fights though, and then Lucifer, Sam broke up with Buffy because he needed space to get his head back on straight. Now that he's got his bearings back, his next plan of action is to try again with Buffy - but slower this time - and hopefully making everything right between them again.

♥	inheaven After leaving back in August 2010, Claire returned to the island in October, and she and Sam picked up in their friendship right where they left off. They are both younger siblings with overprotective big brothers, and tend to be dinner buddies and catch up over them. And of course, when Claire was in need of help with her collar and trying to find someone that her brother wouldn't shoot outright, Sam took on the "challenge". After all, she had offered him help once, but he had still been new at the time and didn't want to take advantage of her then beyond friendship.

♣ ø	detective_girly A friend of Dean's at first, Dani has helped Sam learn about the island and has offered to help him whenever he needs it, just not in the way of collars since she is Dean's friend first, and that would violate the Winchester Brother Code. He values her friendship since she was the first one he had on the island, and knows that he can count on to be there if he needs her.

☼	notakissslut Buffy's little sister, Sam is able to connect with her on the whole "younger sibling" vibe. He's also able to team up with her against Buffy - a good cohort to have. He has met Dawn on a few occasions, but they have yet to really hang out. However, the fact she's Buffy's sister gets her automatic protection, and obviously on the no-touch list because that would really just be awkward.

☼ ♥	take_her_hand After Dean embarrassed his brother over the network the first time his collar got tight, Didi offered to help Sam loosen it. She had known him the "last time he was there" and made the moment a lot better than Sam had been working it up to in his head. She has a sweet smile and a gentle demeanor, and he found himself comfortable and even playful with her. She's definitely someone he wouldn't mind spending more time with, and not in just the collar way.

☼ ♣ ♥	sweet_n_dim Atia's marriage curse brought the two of these together, and for a week Sam was madly in love with his sweet, beautiful wife, as well as her baby daughter Laura. As the curse ended, like all do, he still has a deep, protective love for her that will form a lifelong friendship with her. The love for Laura, however, is still very fatherly and he is trying to adjust to the fact that she really isn't his daughter. Now knowing that Giselle and Buffy get along, he doesn't worry so much about the affection between him and Giselle. They both know where they stand and they are not looking for any form of committment in each other. Giselle is basically his BFF on the island at this point, and knows he can go to her for anything.

♥?	liz_crashdown Atia played a trick on both of them, and Liz woke up in Sam's bed naked one day with their collars loosened. They will never know what actually happened, but in the aftermath they worked to make the situation a little less awkward, and Sam hopes to be able to see her again in a more normal setting on day.

ø ☽	supersecretary Pepper was Sam's first friend that me made on his own here in Amat, and there was just a tiny bit of UST between them. He really liked her smile, her personality and her sharp wit. However, Sam learned that Pepper slept with Dean during the heatwave event, and he stopped flirting with her to avoid any awkwardness. Then when Dean “went home”, he was angry and scared her, and while they had just started patching that up, Lucifer came out and basically aired all of Sam's dirty thoughts about her to her on the network. She hasn't tried to reach out to Sam after an initial check-in just after he got his senses back, and Sam has figured at this point that it's a lost cause now and doesn't try to hunt her out to make things easier for them both. He does keep tabs on her on the network though, because he is still a good friend, and if she really needed help, he would still be there in an instant for her.

♣ ø ☼	blowonthese When they first met, they didn't hit it off well - also apparently they had slept together the "last time he was there". But Sam saw how much Dean cared for Summer and made an effort to get to know her better, and now she is like a little sister to him. After she was killed, he took it upon himself to teach her how to protect herself and bought her a knife to carry around for safety.

☼ ♥	bettercop It was a jog at 2am that had these two meet, and they continue to meet for jogs on Tuesday mornings. Sam can tell she's having a hard time with the knowledge that her friend on the island is dead and how to deal with it, which is similar to Sam's internal struggle in not telling Dean what happened to Sam just before he appeared in Atia. His natures in wanting to take care of people wants to come out strong with her, and he hopes he doesn't come off too lecture-y. When she got sick for a week and her collar was tight when she was well again, he helped her with it while she tried to help him see past Dean’s disappearance that was slowly eating away at him. He now knows that she's got something going with Bosco, so he sticks with just being friends and protective of her.

THE ONES WHO'VE GONE HOME


	ridethepine Canonmate. Tends to enjoy watching Sam suffer but in the end he will make the ultimate sacrifice for him and Dean. When he came to Atia, Sam made deals to keep Dean from learning about the future, and he almost misses the angel. Left Atia July 2010.

☼	speaksfinnish He talked to Rebecca over the network and can tell she's way more intelligent that someone would take her as. She has a sweet, innocent mind and trying to talk to her about anything more than normal conversation can send both of them blushing. He likes Rebecca because she reminds him a bit of Jessica when he first met her. During her time, Rebecca gave Sam a wardrobe makeover. Left Atia August 2010.

	regretsbailing Sam's not-evil twin on the island. When Sam first arrived, he had heard about Clay when he was mistaken for the younger man. When Clay re-arrived on Atia after a two month forest hike, Sam got to talk to the man in person and they actually got along quite well - despite the fact that Clay hates Dean's guts. Left Atia August 2010.

♣ ☼	momwasababe Sam never got to know his Mom in life, and has come to love her for who she is after spending time with her on Atia. She's learned now that Dean and Sam are her kids and they are still coming to terms with how to deal with that knowledge, but he's hoping Mary will understand that Sam doesn't want to lose her friendship and isn't looking for her to be his mother here. Left Atia September 2010. Canon Point: 4.30 – In the Beginning

	leveragesassets Auggie is the new guy in town, and Sam connected with him on an inner male geek level almost instantly. Sam finds he can act like a "guy" around him since his male friends are heavily outweighed by his female friends. They are both able to talk about technology from back home and understand each other quite well. Sam's just glad he has Buffy because he also has a feeling Auggie would give him a run for his money with the ladies. Left Atia September 2010.

☠ ♥ ♦	xxoncehumanxx Complicated beyond belief. Sam knows what his relationship with Ruby led to however when he talks to her on the network, he can't help but get a nagging feeling that she's from far enough back before something happened that would have led to that final betrayal. He is trying to just keep out of her way on the island, but it's small and he knows that he's eventually going to have to deal with the demonic elephant in the room. He just wished that he didn't feel a stab of pain deep in his heart every time he sees her on the network. Left Atia October 2010. Canon Point: 4.16 – On the Head of a Pin

☼	sam1icker81 Becky... Sam doesn't know what to do with her. In some way she's worried about her being on the island because of all the things she is going to have to do. On the other hand, he really wishes she would lose her device and typewriter in a fiery blaze of glory. Back home, he was able to push aside things, but he's trying to have a normal life on the island and sometimes he feels threatened because of her obsession over him and his brother will ruin that. And he's never had to actually read the slash and might have overreacted... but he's avoiding apologizing to her in hopes that maybe if she hates him, she'll stop writing? The boy can hope, and just watch her from afar to make sure no one else hurts her. Left Atia October 2010. Canon Point: 5.09 – The Real Ghostbusters

♣ ☼	brb_beingbait Jo is like a little sister in Sam’s eyes. Knowing that he was responsible for her death eats away at him, and seeing her here now from years before that fateful day makes him want to hold onto her and never let her know about the bad things to come. ø ☼ ♥	imtherookie Grace is another one of the friends who knew him from the "last time he was there". Sam enjoys talking with her, and has a habit of sending people her way to find jobs at her restaurant. She also falls into the friends only category per the Winchester Brother Code, however the Heat Wave curse made him break that code with her in what was probably the longest marathon of pure sex that Sam's had in a library. So it doesn't surprise anyone that things are awkward between them until they can come to terms with what happened. Left Atia October 2010.
