In Which Sam is TRYING to Study...

2. "Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It's not something you learn in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything." - Muhammad Ali

"Sam, come on."

"I have a test tomorrow, Jo."

"You already know everything in class. You don't need to study."

Sam looked over the library table at Jo and sighed. They were in high school now. High school was a big deal and Sam had to really be smart and pass all his classes. All of the teachers were expecting him to be like Dean, who was a senior and caused more trouble than he was worth half the time. So far, he had proved them wrong, but he wasn't going to mess that up.

"You should be studying too," he pointed out to the blonde haired girl leaning back in her hair and nibbling on a twizzler. Her hair was in a ponytail sticking out the back of a baseball hat, and her mismatched colored sneakers wiggled where they were on the table.

"I don't need to study," she pointed out. "I know it all."

"No, you are a know it all," Sam muttered, looking back at his book.

"But you promised to help sneak into Independence Day with me."

"Jo, just a few more minutes. Please." He gave her a look, the one were his overgrown hair fell in front of his eyes and made him look like he was still five.

She sighed, then tore off a piece of her twizzler and threw it at him. "I want to go now."

"Jo."

Another piece. "Now, Sam."

"Jo..."

Another piece and Sam slammed his book shut and glared at her. "Stop throwing things at me!"

The librarian at the reference counter stood up and pointed at the two of them, then the front door. Sam hung his head, then got up and shoved his book into his backpack while Jo bounced to her feet happily. "I can't believe you got us thrown out of another library..." Sam muttered.

"You're the one who did the yelling this time. Anyway, just relax. You're going to do fine, and I'll pass because I'll be cheating off you. Now let's just enjoy the movie."

Sam nodded. "Fine. But you're going to have to get your own snacks." He grabbed her bag of twizzlers as they walked out of the library and took off running towards the movie theater.

"Those are mine! Get back here Sam Winchester or I'm so going to kick your ass!" Jo shouted and took off after the laughing teenager.
