"Cas!" Sam stood up from the impromptu-bar in the living room as the angel arrived to the last minute bachelor party that House had started when he and Alec had come over the night before his wedding to Ruby only to find him sitting quietly reading.
Three tequila shots later, and Sam was smiling brightly and managed to stumble over to the angel, hugging him tightly. "You showed up!" Sam slurred, and Cas had to push Sam back off him and stand the man up.
"You are intoxicated," Castiel pointed out. "You said you were going to spend the night reading when I left."
"I was, and then House came over!" His voice was a bit louder than normal, and he threw his arm back to show House in the living room, getting ready to set fire to the tower of shot glasses to the cheering crowd. "And I don't even know any of these people. They just keep showing up!"
Ben managed to walk over, holding out two flaming shot-glasses, one for his uncle and one for the angel. Even with everything the kid had gone through, his prejudice for some reason did not extend to Castiel nearly as badly as any other angel. "Bottom's up, gentlemen."
Sam took the shot, and after a moment Castiel took his as well. The angel watched as Ben grabbed a third one, and both Winchesters blew out the fire before taking the shots. He hesitated, then blew out the fire in his glass and drank it as well. There was a bit of a burn down his throat, but it barely phased him.
"I'll get us another round," Ben said, taking the glasses back to the table and Sam laughed, leaning into Cas again.
"Cas... you are the best angel ever. Well, except for my brother. But ever since he joined your team, he's been a bit stiff, ya know." Sam laughed as Cas guided him to a chair. "Like he's got a whole Christmas Tree shoved..."
"Sam, you are drunk and do not mean these things you are saying." The angel sighed, looking down at his charge. "I think you need to go to bed so you are properly rested for tomorrow."
"Pfft. I'm fine." He looked up at Cas and smiled. "And you can just do your angel thing."
"Angel thing?"
"Yeah. Touch my forehead and make the hangover go away. It can be your wedding gift to me!" Sam gave Castiel a drunk smile.
"I may not have a choice. You can not say your vows if you are not in your right mind."
"See. That is why you're the best angel ever." Sam looked over at his nephew and House. "Ben! Get Cas something good for being the best angel ever!"
Castiel just sighed. This was going to be a long night.
You always were a happy drunk...
