When Jo had bad days at work, Sam knew it was his job to pull Jo out of her work mind and back into a healthier mindset. So when he got a call from Rufus that he needed to go to the station to pick Jo up, his fear caught in his throat until he saw her sitting on the station steps with a cup of coffee in her hands.
"Baby?" he asked, jumping out of the car and running over, his hands taking hers, fingers running over the wedding band on her hand as he took the cup away from her. "Are you ok?"
"I just want to go home, Sam," she said softly, leaning into him. He nodded, helping her to her feet and bringing her back to the car, getting her buckled in and drove her to their home.
The rest of the day was just full of hugging on the couch, watching nothing on television but more having noise in the background. Ford lay in front of the fireplace, too big now to crawl in his mommy's lap when she was upset, and wanted to at least be close.
As bedtime came around, Sam had enough of the quiet seriousness, and planned to change that, even at the expense of his own masculinity. And so once Jo was in bed waiting for him to come out of the bathroom and join her, he hit play on the cd player...
... and proceeded to dance for her as he slowly stripped off his clothing until he was just in his over-sized heart boxers and managed not to permanently blind himself when the suspender snapped and slapped him in the eye.
Jo was laughing when he finally fell into bed and kissed his cheek. "Thank you," she whispered, holding him close. Sam just smiled and kissed her back.
"For you, I'll do anything..." he whispered, kissing her before pulling his head back. "Within reason." He quickly added, and Jo laughed and pulled him under the covers with her.
