"Dad." His voice was soft as he moved to sit next to his father. "C'mon. It's been a long day, let's just go home."

His dad could probably use another breakdown, but he didn't want to do it here. Once they got upstairs it would be fine, but until then, he needed to get his father somewhere safe.
