The door sounded behind them and they turned to see the tails of a coat slip behind a stack of clocks on a shelf. Gabriel arched his neck to look a moment, then nodded for Sam to follow him to the counter.
"Follow me, and just... don't touch anything."
Sam nodded, shoving his hands in his pockets and following behind Gabriel. At the counter, he watched as Gabriel worked to fix the cuckoo clock. "You're really good," Sam said after a moment.
Gabriel smiled. "That's why my name's on the window."
Sam turned around to look at the window when a man appeared directly behind him. He looked like a normal guy, but he was watching them both carefully through his horned-rimmed glasses.
