Sam disappeared out the back of the barn, turning on his flashlight as he started to sweep the woods that were just a few feet beyond. The sun had set, but it wasn't moonrise yet.

Then there was a growl from behind Sam and he only had a moment before there was a hand on his throat and he was tossed up against the side of the barn. A man stood in front of him, dressed in rag and was snarling. "He's mine."


Kale sniffed the air. "He's here. And he's angry." Quickly he gathered his toys and went to hide them. "You need to go away now or he'll hurt you."
