Michael looked down at them for a moment, a little awestruck at first, before looking up at his father. "Are you sure? I mean, I don't want you to think I don't want them or anything, but -- "

His voice trailed off as he didn't know how to explain what he was feeling right then. Because he really didn't know what he was feeling, and that in turn, made it hard to explain.
