Sam didn't look back to check on his brother, instead focusing completely on Stolas, a smirk on his face. "Oh, come on, Stolas, you wanted me here, and you got me. Don't tell me because your little line didn't work as well as you hoped, that you've got no backup."
At that point, with a good portion of his forces IN the room, one of his demons redid the salt line, staying outside with three others as a sentry against anyone coming from the other direction.
And all of the sentries had earplugs in, working in tandem to the psychic connection with Sam. They had been up against Stolas enough times to work around his powers now as much as they could.
