Sam smiled, taking a deep breath. "Well, as long as he's happy doing it... just give him my thanks for watching after my son. Even if he was breaking the rules, it means a lot to me."

Sam made to stand up, looking a bit whistful. He knew he could stay and keep asking questions, but he knew he should get downstairs to find Ruby and check on Michael.

"Tell him I miss him. And even if it's breaking the rules, maybe one day he could come and say hello. I'd like that, and Michael probably would like to express his thanks as well."
