Ruby, for lack of a better word, was grounded. Amy had found out about something involving Alastair, torture and angels and decided that the best place for her was where Amy could keep an eye on her. Ruby appreciate the concern, but frankly, the beach was anywhere but where she wanted to be for several reasons.
However, never let it be said that Amy didn't know her magic. A spell that bound her to the ten mile radius of her own hex bag as long as the hex bag was active. That was creative. Amy knew that Ruby wouldn't willingly deactivate the bag to get away, and she knew that it wasn't going to be deactivated anytime soon.
It was moments like this when she was reminded of how much she really underestimated Amy.
So, for the time being, she was sitting on the couch in the suite, flipping through a magazine while the rest of the group was out doing other things. She just wasn't really in the mood to be vacation-like. There were too many things she could think of that needed doing.
