Problem is, Dean couldn't do it. Karma's been kicking his ass for so long that he couldn't even find the energy to consider blaming Sam. He was tired and he was in pain, and he just shook his head.
"I had it coming," Dean said softly. "I've had it coming for so long and I just thought it would happen already, but it hasn't. Someone keeps saving my sorry ass, and half the time I wish they wouldn't because I haven't exactly done much to deserve it. I'm tired. So tired and I just want this all to end."
Dean wasn't even aware of how broken he sounded right then but on some level, he almost didn't care.
